The Indian Muslim and The Shaheen Baaghis

I have grown up around a lot of Muslims. Growing up in a Muslim majority town, a lot of my childhood friends were/are Muslims.

When you belong to a particular culture, you are bound to have affinity towards similar culture. Islamic culture has a homogeneity which is visible throughout the world. Many Indian Muslims in India have a soft spot for Pakistan which is visible, and which is definitely not a bad thing as India and present day Pakistan have more or less the same culture. The issue arises when you break your television during an India Pakistan match after India defeats Pakistan, whilst you are a citizen of India.

I won’t say these people are few in number. There is a considerable amount in India and I know that. Both, because of shared culture and the idea of Islamic brotherhood. The systemic oppression also doesn’t help the case either but in case of Islam, I personally don’t think that systemic oppression is a major factor because of the strong network it has. Yes, people are cannon fodder, but so is the case with the lower strata in any society.

There are many types of Muslims in India, ones who are practicing Al Taqqiya, ones who are actually waging Jihad(specifically political Islamic) of some kind, be it literary, military or any other kind, ones who were normal but actually got radicalized due to systemic oppression, and with contact of the previous two mentioned, and then there are the last three kinds, normal Indians, the Indians who have to overcompensate for the first three and the cannon fodder.

Now for the first three kinds of Muslims living in India let me be blunt here. You should have gone to Pakistan and if not you can still go there. India was divided on the lines of religion so it very natural that it will leave a scar on the heart of Indians. You can act all student leader, liberal or communist, but you can’t hide. Also, the protectors of Muslim law in India, what kind of personal Muslim law you want in a democratic country? And if you want a personal law, are you ready to get punishment for crimes according to Sharia? Only Ghazwa-E-Hind you are going to get is Gajwa-E-Hind, that is Lord Ganesha, who belongs to all. Also, Pakistani music is actually nice.
