He felt like a rat in a sewer. Just like it he was surviving on opportunities. When somebody said that life is beautiful or the world is good, he felt like breaking the jaw of that person. He has been suffering all along. What the f..., he can't choose his life, he has to be in the sewer waiting for the opportunities, waiting for a piece of bread in a sea of shit.
His daily work included of going house to house and selling all kind of products which he himself would never use in his life. They were useless and still he has to sell it. He has to lie about the qualities of the product and trap the customer. No much earning and the owner of the company was a hardened bitch to deal with, he never let him take an extra dime, bastard!
He needed more opportunities, he wanted to get out of the sewer. Afterall he was a BBA. Better than anyone in his locality, illiterate bastards.
Last night he got a call from his old friend. He was manager at some firm. He couldn't believe it. That dumb*** became manager and he was still here selling shitpot cleaners door to door. But his friend was a real friend. He offered him to work with him. At last somebody was there who turned out be good to him.
He went to meet him. The office was huge. He was dumbstruck. His secretary was like someone just out of miss world pageant. His friend called him in the cabin and hugged him. He remembered the story of Krishna and Sudama, his grandmother used to tell in childhood, and he called this guy dumb.
So he was kept on job, and his first job was just to meet people and deliver them some goods and papers from company. The money was too good for such an easy job. He asked his friend and was assured that this was just a kind of orientation for the real job.
Today was the first day of his work. He wore his favourite white shirt, starched and with cuff-links and a red tie. He reached office fifteen minutes early. The secretary gave him the package and told him to deliver that to an address. She smelled like a strawberry and he couldn't hear the instructions she was giving, her lips were just like cherries and he was busy looking at them, he really didn't notice a word she said.
He reached at the address and rang the doorbell. When the door opened he saw police. They shouted, pointing Guns at him. 'This is the drug dealer', he heard them shouting. He didn't know why he ran but he ran. Why the hell he ran? But he couldn't stop. His legs were moving as if they were out of control. Sweat was flowing like from one of the water-cans he used to sell at his old job. He thought about his friend, like they say, 'a friend with weed is a friend indeed, mother....", he didnot stop, kept running.
'Bang', he heard the noise and next moment he found himself on the ground mixed up in a brownish mix of mud and his blood. The mix was just like the chicken marination mix he used to sell door to door. He gathered all the strength and stood again. He has to save his life. He started running again.
'Bang', he fell into the sewer. He lay there with his blood flowing along with shit. He was like a sewer rat who went for cheese but cheese is never for sewer rats. He smiled. At last he had come back to the place he belonged to.
