Help

Dec 3, 2015

Natural disasters, terrorist acts and other calamities. People lose their lives and and their possessions, but the ones who survive are filled with a sense of immense gratitude, most of the times.
Why do people help each other in bad times? There may be different motivations. My personal motivation is that i wasn’t helped. People are helpful though, if they think you are a stranger, or grateful, or if they are good people.

We are generally like a bunch of crabs in a bucket. But crisis has an amazing way of binding people. Women and children crabs are the first. Good crabs are the last. And the best one are left in the bucket to rot with no one to push or pull them out of the bucket.

Why do good people help? Because it is their nature. Why do assholes help? Because they would take advantage of this favor later. Some help for social recognition. Some help for showing off. And some want to help but can’t. Humanity survives because of help. But there are some screams which get muffled in the noise of the crisis. A few have an eye for that. A crisis is a crisis. Doesn’t matter what kind of a crisis. If you save a life, you are saving a hope of saving many other lives. Rescue a fireman or a doctor in a flood and you are saving many others by that one deed.

Even a retard is intelligent for himself and would save himself if required. That means every person is capable of helping at least one person. And if by chance they are not, they need someone. Some one like you.
